1) Quick description : 

RfLapCounter is a complete timing system for Karting that allows to do training sessions or races.

It is intended for outdoor and works in every kind of weather (sunny or rainy).

Operating mode : When the kart crosses the magnet bar/strip, the transponder sends a RF signal to the decoder located on the edge of the track.

                                  The lap time is then transmitted to the software (PC) or application (Smartphone).

                                  Several 'USB' or 'Bluetooth' decoders can be used simultaneously with a single magnet bar.

2) Material needed for the RfLapCounter to operate : 

- 1 magnet bar covering the track width (up to 8m40 =27.6feet); many karting tracks have a magnet bar installed by default.

- 1 transponder per kart.

- 1 decoder 'USB' connected to a PC equiped with a software from our range, or . . .
  1 decoder 'Bluetooth' connected to a smartphone equiped with our android application.

3) Main advantages :   

- Easy installation :

- From the kart side, the transponder is battery powered; no electrical connection is needed.

- Concerning the receiver part, the decoder is simply connected to a PC or a smartphone.

- PC or Smartphone : 

- The decoder 'RC3 USB' works connected to a computer by the USB port.

- The decoder 'RC3 Bluetooth' is connected to a Smartphone (or a PC) by Bluetooth link.

- The system works regardless of the climatic conditions :

- The transponders are completely waterproof; they can work perfectly in the rain.
- The magnetic bar, once covered with its special hose, can be left permanently on the track.

- Performance :     

- More than 65000 codes are available (each transponder is unique).

- With our PC software, the system can manage up to 20 karts simultaneously.
  With our smartphone application, 10 karts can be timed simultaneously.

- The resolution time is 1/1000th of a second.  
  The accuracy on the lap time is +/- 0.002sec.

- Budget :

- The kit is available as from 119euros (decoder 'RC3 USB', 1 transponder RC3, software 'Rf LapC Basic timing').

- An equipment for smartphone costs 169euros (decoder 'RC3 Bluetooth', 1 transponder RC3, software 'Basic timing').
